Tiny Hearts

image119

Tiny Hearts are the miniature horses and youngsters under 2 years old. We believe size and age DOES matter in the case of special consideration for the care and handling of equines. Small in stature does not diminish their greatness of heart.

Favored Hearts

image120

Favored Hearts are the horses we are fortunate to be allowed to bring out of killpen as fosters.. We pull the horses most in need first. Horses who are suffering from illness, injury, or low body weight; the ones who come into the lot and immediately start to lose ground, the ones who suffer from herd starvation within the lot. Pulling these horses allows us to give them a better chance of surviving long enough to be adopted.

Guardians’ Hearts

image121

Guardian’ Hearts are horses who are available for adoption. While they still may be in various stages of recovery, they are trainable, rideable, sound, and sane. These horses come in all shapes, colors, and disciplines, and make amazing partners to share your life with.

Long-Eared Hearts

image122

Long-Eared Hearts are the donkeys and mules who find themselves in the pipeline, too. These precious sweet souls, so different from horses, have unique perspectives and need homes to match.

Hopeful Hearts

image123

Hopeful Hearts are the horses that we evaluate at the lot and post, but are unable to pull at the time of evaluation. They are full of hope, waiting to be chosen as Defenders’ Hearts.

Embraceable Hearts

image124

Embraceable Hearts are the horses that we post as private sale courtesy listings for friends, or horses in need of new homes that we can help, providing intercept options so they aren’t at risk of going to auction and ending up victims of the slaughter pipeline.

Healing Hearts

image125

Healing Hearts are our Companion Horses, they may be  limited or no longer rideable for various reasons, but these horses can still be partners & friends. Forgiving and social by nature, they have faithful, loyal hearts still willing to love unconditionally and without judgment. These amazing creatures often serve as mutual bridges to companionship and healing in therapeutic settings for children, vets, people with disabilities, anxieties, PTSD and so much more.

These are our fosters or adoptable to the right homes.
